Jane Benson is a multidisciplinary artist whose work splits, fractures and skews

archetypal structures into poignant re-assemblies. Benson was born in the UK and received her BFA from Edinburgh College of Art. She received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Benson moved to Chicago on a Fulbright Scholarship and later to Brooklyn, New York where she now lives and works. She is currently teaching at Cornell University in the Department of Art.
