This past February 2026 Brent Birnbaum held a performance alongside his participation in “The Best Show Ever,” which featured his photographic series “Birthday Boys” . On the occasion of his birthday, the artist had himself photographed nine times alongside Geoffrey, the mascot of the toy store chain Toys “R” Us, who was celebrating his birthday on the same day. After the company’s bankruptcy, Birnbaum acquired one of the costumes. Having become an unemployed mascot, he wandered through downtown Nuremberg appearing at various landmarks until he reached the Kunsthalle Nürnberg.
